Waiver of subrogation
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003506
An agreement between two parties where one party gives up its right to seek recovery from the other party for losses covered by insurance. In construction, for example, a contractor might waive its right to subrogate against the project owner for damages. This prevents the insurer from pursuing the at-fault party after paying a claim.
