Work hardening

A highly structured, goal-oriented rehabilitation program designed to restore an injured worker's physical capacity and function for a safe and timely return to employment. It uses real or simulated work activities to address issues of productivity, safety, and physical tolerance in a supervised environment. As a component of a workers' compensation claim, this program aims to transition the employee from acute care back to their pre-injury job duties.
