Bachelor of Laws

An undergraduate academic degree in law, historically the primary professional legal qualification in many common law jurisdictions. This degree prepares students for legal practice and further postgraduate study. In the United States, the Juris Doctor (JD) has largely replaced the Bachelor of Laws as the standard first professional law degree.
