Professional negligence

A breach of the duty of care owed by a professional to their client, resulting in harm or damage. This occurs when a professional fails to exercise the degree of skill and care that a reasonably prudent professional in the same field would have exercised under similar circumstances. Claims of professional negligence are common against doctors, lawyers, and accountants.
