Professional corporation

A type of business entity formed by licensed professionals, such as doctors, lawyers, or accountants, to provide professional services. It offers some liability protection to its members, similar to a traditional corporation, but typically does not shield professionals from liability for their own malpractice. State laws govern the formation and operation of professional corporations.
