A set of moral principles and rules of conduct that govern the behavior of individuals and groups, particularly within a professional context. In law, ethics dictates the standards of professional responsibility for attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. These principles are often codified in rules of professional conduct, such as the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
