Model Rules of Professional Conduct

A set of ethical guidelines and standards for lawyers, developed by the American Bar Association (ABA). These rules address duties to clients, the courts, and the public, covering topics such as confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and competence. While not legally binding on their own, they serve as a template for state bar associations to adopt and enforce.
