Legal malpractice

Professional negligence committed by an attorney, resulting in harm to a client. This occurs when a lawyer's conduct falls below the standard of care expected of a reasonably prudent attorney in similar circumstances. To prove legal malpractice, a client must demonstrate a duty, a breach of that duty, causation, and damages.
