Negligent

Describing conduct that falls below the standard of care expected of a reasonably prudent person in similar circumstances, resulting in harm to another. It involves a failure to exercise the degree of care that a reasonable person would have exercised. To establish negligence, a plaintiff must prove duty, breach, causation, and damages.
