Negligent tort

A civil wrong or injury that arises from a party's failure to exercise reasonable care, resulting in harm to another. This category of torts includes actions like car accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice. Unlike intentional torts, negligent torts do not require proof of intent to cause harm.
