A business entity structured as a corporation that is subject to corporate income tax on its profits. The corporation's earnings are taxed at the corporate level, and then again when profits are distributed to shareholders as dividends, leading to what is known as double taxation. This structure is distinct from an S corporation, which passes income directly to shareholders to avoid corporate-level taxation.
