Contingent beneficiary

An individual or entity designated to receive assets or benefits from a will, trust, or insurance policy if the primary beneficiary is unable or unwilling to accept them. Their claim is dependent upon the non-fulfillment of the primary beneficiary's claim. This designation provides a fallback option for asset distribution.
