Deadname

The birth name of a transgender person who has changed their name, particularly when that name is used intentionally to disrespect or invalidate their gender identity. In some legal contexts, such as official documents, a person's legal name change must be formally recognized. Intentional use of a deadname can be considered harassment or discrimination.
