Fault divorce

A type of divorce where one spouse alleges and proves that the other spouse was responsible for the breakdown of the marriage due to specific misconduct. Common grounds for fault divorce include adultery, cruelty, desertion, or habitual drunkenness. This contrasts with no-fault divorce, which does not require proof of marital misconduct.
