Fraudulent conveyance

A transfer of property or assets made by a debtor with the intent to hinder, delay, or defraud creditors, or for less than reasonably equivalent value while the debtor is insolvent or becomes insolvent as a result. Such a transfer can be set aside by a court, allowing creditors to recover the assets. This concept is codified in the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act.
