Good title

A marketable title to real property that is free from any reasonable doubt as to its validity and ownership. This means the title is clear of liens, encumbrances, or defects that would prevent its transfer or cause a prudent buyer to reject it. A seller typically warrants that they are conveying good title in a real estate transaction.
