Illicit

Describing conduct, substances, or goods that are forbidden by law, statute, or rule. The term applies to activities that are illegal or not permitted, such as the trafficking of controlled substances, unlicensed trade, or prohibited relationships. For example, illicit drug trafficking involves the cultivation, manufacture, distribution, and sale of substances subject to drug prohibition laws.
