In perpetuity

A state of continuing forever or for an indefinite period. In property law, this describes an interest, such as an easement or certain types of trusts, that is intended to last without any time limit. The common law rule against perpetuities prevents property interests from being tied up for too long in the future, typically limiting them to a period of a life in being plus 21 years.
