Interlocutory decree

A preliminary court order that addresses a specific issue within a larger case but does not fully conclude the litigation. It is not a final judgment and may be modified by the court before the final resolution of the matter. For instance, a divorce case might have an interlocutory decree addressing property division before a final decree of divorce.
