Lender

An individual, financial institution, or other entity that extends funds to a borrower with the expectation that the principal amount will be repaid, along with interest and any associated fees. The relationship between the lender and borrower is formalized through a loan agreement, which specifies the terms of repayment, interest rate, and consequences of default. This agreement is a legally binding contract, and its terms are enforceable in court.
