Meeting of creditors

A formal assembly of all parties to whom a debtor owes money, convened during bankruptcy proceedings. This gathering allows creditors to examine the debtor under oath regarding their assets, liabilities, and financial affairs. In the United States, this meeting is mandated by Section 341 of the Bankruptcy Code.
