Miscarriage (of justice)

A failure of the legal system to achieve a just outcome, often resulting in an innocent person being convicted or a guilty person being acquitted. This can occur due to errors in legal procedure, prosecutorial misconduct, or new evidence emerging after a trial. Examples include wrongful convictions based on flawed forensic evidence or coerced confessions.
