National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws

An organization composed of lawyers, judges, and law professors appointed by each state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Its purpose is to draft and promote the enactment of uniform laws in areas where uniformity among states is desirable. The Uniform Commercial Code is one of its most successful and widely adopted initiatives.
