Uniform Anatomical Gift Act

A model statute adopted by many U.S. states that provides a legal framework for the donation of organs, tissues, and other human body parts after death for transplantation, research, or education. This act establishes who can make an anatomical gift, how it can be made, and who can receive it. The act has been revised multiple times, with the 2006 version being the most widely adopted.
