An entity recognized by law as having rights and duties. This includes natural persons, who are individual human beings, and artificial persons, such as corporations, partnerships, or governments. Legal personhood grants the capacity to enter into contracts, own property, sue, and be sued, forming the basis of legal standing and responsibility.
