Pornography

Material depicting erotic behavior intended to cause sexual excitement, which may be subject to legal regulation based on community standards. The legal definition distinguishes between pornography, which receives some First Amendment protection, and obscenity, which does not. To be deemed obscene under the Miller test, material must appeal to the prurient interest, depict sexual conduct in a patently offensive way, and lack serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.
