Predatory pricing

The practice of setting prices extremely low to drive competitors out of the market, with the intent of raising prices once competition is eliminated. This strategy is considered anti-competitive and illegal under antitrust laws. Proving predatory pricing requires demonstrating that the prices are below cost and that there is a reasonable prospect of recouping losses through higher prices later.
