Receiver

An impartial person appointed by a court to take possession of, manage, and preserve property or assets that are subject to litigation or insolvency. The receiver's role is to protect the interests of all parties involved until a final disposition is determined. This appointment is common in bankruptcy, foreclosure, or corporate dissolution cases.
