Reconveyance

The transfer of legal title to property back to its original owner, typically after a debt or obligation secured by the property has been fully satisfied. This act is common in real estate transactions involving deeds of trust, where the trustee reconveys title to the borrower upon repayment of the loan. A reconveyance deed is recorded to clear the lien from the property's title.
