Regulation Fair Disclosure

A rule from the Securities and Exchange Commission, also known as Regulation FD, that addresses selective disclosure of information by public companies. It mandates that when an issuer discloses material nonpublic information to certain individuals, such as securities analysts or institutional investors, it must also disclose that information to the public. Public disclosure must be made simultaneously for intentional disclosures or promptly for unintentional ones.
