Reverse merger

A transaction where a private company acquires a public company, with the private company's shareholders becoming the controlling shareholders of the publicly traded entity. This method allows the private company to become publicly traded without undergoing a traditional initial public offering (IPO). The private company essentially uses the public company's existing stock exchange listing, often involving a shell corporation.
