Testatrix

A woman who has made a legally valid will or testament. The term designates the female creator of the will, who specifies the distribution of her property and assets upon her death. While historically common, modern legal drafting often uses the gender-neutral term 'testator' to refer to any person who makes a will, regardless of their gender.
