Last will and testament

A legal document through which an individual, known as the testator, specifies instructions for the management and distribution of their property upon their death. The will names an executor to administer the estate and designates beneficiaries to receive specific assets. For a will to be legally valid, it must meet state-specific requirements, such as being in writing and signed by the testator in the presence of witnesses.
