True bill

A decision by a grand jury that there is sufficient evidence to warrant a criminal indictment against a suspect. This finding indicates that the grand jury believes a crime has been committed and that the accused likely committed it. Upon a true bill, the prosecutor can proceed with formal charges against the defendant.
