Tucker Act

A federal statute that waives the sovereign immunity of the United States for certain claims against the government. It grants jurisdiction to the United States Court of Federal Claims for monetary claims founded upon the Constitution, acts of Congress, regulations, or express or implied contracts with the United States. Claims under this act generally exceed $10,000, with smaller claims falling under the Little Tucker Act.
