Unilateral

Describing an action or agreement undertaken or made by one party or side without the participation or consent of another. A unilateral contract, for example, involves a promise made by one party in exchange for an act by another party. This contrasts with a bilateral agreement, which requires mutual promises or actions from all involved parties.
