Asset tracking

The process of monitoring the location and status of physical assets, either in real time or by recording their movement through a supply chain. It involves attaching tracking devices or scannable tags to assets such as vehicles, shipping containers, equipment, or high-value inventory items. These tags use technologies such as Global Positioning System (GPS) for outdoor location, Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) for short-range identification, or Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for indoor positioning.
