Anti-dumping Duty

A protectionist tariff that a domestic government imposes on foreign imports believed to be priced below fair market value. Dumping occurs when a company exports a product at a price lower than it normally charges in its home market or below its full cost of production. These duties are calculated to bridge the gap back to a normal value.
