Cross-docking

A logistics practice where incoming goods from a supplier are directly transferred to outbound shipments with minimal or no storage in between. Products are sorted and consolidated at a distribution center, then immediately loaded onto trucks for delivery to customers. This process aims to reduce inventory holding costs and accelerate product flow through the supply chain.
