A refund of customs duties, taxes, and fees previously paid on imported merchandise that is subsequently exported or destroyed under customs supervision. This mechanism encourages domestic manufacturing and export by neutralizing the duty burden on imported components. It applies to goods that are either unused or incorporated into other products before re-exportation.
