Quantum computing
Term · Logistics and supply chain · MLC-T-LOG-000256
A type of computation that uses the principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, to process information. For logistics, its potential lies in solving complex combinatorial problems, like the Traveling Salesperson Problem or vehicle routing, far faster than classical computers. A quantum computer's basic unit of information is the qubit, which can represent a 0, a 1, or both simultaneously, unlike a classical bit.
