Tail gate exam

A type of physical inspection conducted by customs officials at the port of entry, where a portion of the cargo in a container is unloaded for examination. This inspection is less extensive than a full devanning but allows authorities to verify declarations and check for contraband. It is a common procedure for shipments flagged for closer scrutiny.
