A standardized intermodal freight container, similar to an ISO container but typically built with a lighter construction and not designed for stacking. It is equipped with foldable legs that allow it to be detached from a truck chassis without requiring lifting equipment, enabling the driver to leave the unit for loading or unloading. Swap bodies are primarily used in road and rail transport within Europe and are built to European CEN standards.
