Annual exceedance series

A statistical series comprising all events that exceed a specified threshold within a given year, regardless of how many times the threshold is crossed. This method is used in hydrology and climatology to analyze the frequency of extreme events, such as flood peaks or high temperatures. Unlike annual maximum series, it can include multiple events from a single year.
