Backdoor cold front

A type of cold front that approaches from the northeast or east, rather than the more typical northwest or west direction, particularly affecting the northeastern United States. These fronts often bring cooler, moister air from the Atlantic Ocean, leading to a sudden drop in temperature and sometimes fog or drizzle. They are common during spring and early summer.
