Norther

A strong, cold wind blowing from the north, particularly common in the southern United States and the Gulf of Mexico. These winds are associated with the passage of a cold front and can bring a rapid drop in temperature. They are a characteristic weather phenomenon during the cooler months, often following the passage of a low-pressure system.
