A unit of pressure in the CGS (centimeter-gram-second) system of units, defined as one dyne per square centimeter. It is equivalent to 0.1 Pascals (Pa) in the International System of Units (SI). This unit is rarely used in modern meteorology, which primarily employs hectopascals (hPa) or millibars (mb) for atmospheric pressure measurements.
