Breakwater

A coastal structure built offshore or perpendicular to the shore to protect a harbor, anchorage, or coastline from wave action and currents. It dissipates wave energy, creating calmer waters behind it. These structures can be fixed or floating and are designed to reduce erosion and provide safe mooring for vessels.
