Ice foot

A narrow fringe of ice that adheres to the coastline, typically found in polar and subpolar regions. It is formed by the freezing of sea spray, the accumulation of snow, or the grounding of sea ice. The ice foot provides a stable platform along the shore and can protect the coastline from wave erosion.
