Foot-pound

A unit of energy or work in the Imperial and U.S. customary systems of units, defined as the work done when a force of one pound-force is applied over a distance of one foot. It is equivalent to approximately 1.3558 joules in the International System of Units. This unit is rarely used in atmospheric science.
